KM Counselling is a NW Calgary-based Psychology practice that is committed to upholding all regulated provincial and federal privacy policies.
What Information Is Collected?
KM Counselling is committed to protecting the personal information of our clients in accordance with applicable provincial and federal legislation. Personal information means information in any form whether oral, electronic or written, about an identifiable individual. This includes an individual’s name, address, and phone number, age, sex, marital or family status, any identifying numbers, and financial information.
KM Counselling collects only the personal information required to serve our clients, including personal information needed to:
- Deliver requested services and products;
- Enroll a client in a service; and
- Measure client progress and outcomes.

KM Counselling normally collects client personal information directly from its clients. Information may be collected from other persons or organizations, but only with client consent or as authorized by law. KM Counselling’s personnel are authorized to access personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is not disclosed or shared more widely than is necessary. Measures are also taken to ensure the integrity of this information is maintained and to prevent its being lost or destroyed outside of regular records retention protocols.
KM Counselling does not release client names or information under any circumstances unless required by law. We do not sell, trade or otherwise share our mailing lists.
